Readiness

One readiness level. Set by a person, shown where the work is.

The wind picks up, a queue builds at the gate, a delivery is stuck at the barrier. Someone decides how alert the production should be. Readiness shows that decision in the header and on Plan Live, keeps the reason and the name behind it, and tells the people who need to know by email or SMS.

The levels

Four levels, set by a person.

Set a level for the whole account or for one project; the higher of the two is the one in effect. Nothing changes it automatically: not the weather, not an incident, not the clock. These are your own operational levels, not official threat levels.

  1. 0 Normal
  2. 1 Heightened readiness
  3. 2 High readiness
  4. 3 Critical readiness

A reason, every time

A change needs a reason and a second look before it takes effect. If someone else changed the level while you were deciding, yours is refused, so two managers never overwrite each other.

Who may change it

Seeing the level, changing a project's level and changing the account-wide level are three separate rights, given per person.

Every change on record

History shows when, from which level to which, who changed it and why. Nothing in it can be edited or deleted afterwards.

Where it shows

In the header and on the screens the production follows.

The level sits where the people running the production already look: the workspace and the production plan's live screens.

In the header

For everyone with Ops access, the level in effect sits in the workspace header, on the Workforce pages as much as the Ops pages. Open it for the reason and the latest change.

On Plan Live

Wall screens and phones following the production plan show the level by number, name and colour, updated with the plan. The reason stays inside the workspace.

Who hears about it

The right people hear about it, by email or SMS.

A level change only helps if the people who act on it know. The account and each project have their own notification list.

A list per project

Put named people, groups or departments on the list for the account or a project, by email, SMS or both. Choose whether they hear when the level goes up, when it comes down, or only from a certain level. Each recipient gets the message in the language set on their profile.

Broadcast to the list, or only those at work

Send a short message to everyone on the list, or only to those on shift right now or clocked in, because the schedule and the clock-ins live in the same platform. Mark it critical when it is.

SMS uses the SMS module, an optional paid module with prepaid or invoiced credits, for numbers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Email needs nothing extra.

Part of Ops

Readiness is part of HR Cluster Ops.

Not a separate product. It is an Ops module, switched on per account, and it works from the same projects, people, schedule and clock-ins as the rest of the platform.
